I have the same problem. Restoring my computer near the recovery disk seem to help, or if you hold a xp disk even better. I hear that the updates that you are asked to install when you get it modern cause some sort of hitch.

What's wrong next to my laptops contrast?
The contrast of my laptop get really dark and I can't transform it. I closed the top of it to protect it from my dogs when they were running by. It's so overcast i can only see a controlled amout of things. I can't see my cursor too. I doubt that it is a virus( my dad said so) and that it has to do near something that i did. It's a hp 2001. HELP!

i suggest you confer technician to repair.
first configure the ip addresses for wireless which have been provided by isp.
Go next to your cursor to your wireless icoon ore open Control Panel / Networks connections / Wireless rightclick and choose repair.Also check the nouns with the internet using networkcable to your modem, reset the modem remove the power for 10 second
You might be very close to getting it working.

My laptop shuts down while playing online video. I don't understand the problem. It seem like it's too much for it to knob, but the computer is a good element hp model that's only a few years weak.
