Whats the diffrence between core 2 duo, and the duo?

are they both dual core or is it lately one that is?

Answer:

Core 2 Duo is the second classmates Core Duo, much like Pentium II be to Pentium. The difference between the two would mostly be that the Core 2 Duo has better carrying out than the Core Duo, as to how they've done this, I'm afraid I'm unable to answer that... I don't know.

So, they are indeed both DUAL core processors; the single core performance is called Core Solo.
the core 2 duo is faster than the duo. and they are bouth dual core.

The Core Duo has two CPUs within a chip, based on the Pentium M mobile processor. The most modern Core 2 Duo is based on this but is more streamlined with highly developed performance per GHz and smaller amount power consumption.
Core2Duo is dual core

CoreDuo is not..
