core 2 duo is much faster
core 2 duo is much better. Its an upgrade to the regular dual-core.
Core 2 is a lot faster. I bought a laptop next to dual and it was running slow , i returned it, and i get the core 2 and it was plentifully better. Its worth the extra money.
Seem like request for information like this pop up a lots just this minute. OK, heres' the story : Intel Dual Core is an older technology (call Pentium D) beside 2 cores. The Core 2 Duo is the newer processor, also 2 cores, run cooler, much faster and it can process instructions about 4 times faster per clock than the elder Pentium D
core duo one is a 32 bit architecture and the core 2 duo is a 64 bit architecture. That means that the processor handle 64 bits ( a bit is a one or a zero, a byte is 8 bits) of information at a time.

a 64 bit processor wishes a 64 bit operating system, such as Windows Vista or a comparable version of Linux. When It comes down to it, progress for the core 2 duo.

I hope that this helps, perfect luck.
