What's wrong next to my laptops contrast?

The contrast of my laptop get really dark and I can't transform it. I closed the top of it to protect it from my dogs when they were running by. It's so overcast i can only see a controlled amout of things. I can't see my cursor too. I doubt that it is a virus( my dad said so) and that it has to do near something that i did. It's a hp 2001. HELP!

Answer:

The CMOS removal, and reboot might work however, at the base of the eyeshade, behind where on earth you can see, is a small device, usually a circuit, that can occasionally get crunched. If it does capture crunched doing exactly what you describe, it will need any a new peak, or a new circuit down at the basis of the screen. I enjoy seen this transpire in oodles laptops, and I have be there when our warranty guys come and replace the Screen, cool to keep watch on, but it must be a pain when it go for the regular user
Shut down the machine. Remove the battery-operated. Insert the battery. Restart.
Plug it surrounded by may assist too.
You have an lcd peak. They need a backlight. When the backlight is kaput, they look very shadows. It would cost considerably more than that computer is worth to fix it. You can plug an external monitor in and use it for a desktop.
