what's the difference between a laptop and a notebook?

Laptop was an industry occupancy that was applied to a portable computer that be small enough to be used surrounded by your lap. It be also a bit of a play on words when comparing it to a "desktop" system.



The term Notebook come later when the Laptops become small enough to be compared contained by size to a notebook.
