Try apples, i give attention to they are comming back within, but you will have to revise the OS and make sure they are compatible near the work you do.
Keep away from HP, Packard Bell, Time, Advent, Compaq etc...
Also keep away from Vista. Or if you enjoy a laptop now next to XP that you dont use, buy a laptop with Vista, afterwards install XP from fresh, then install Vista within a few months when the bugs are fixed.
