whats the product knob?

i know what it is i only just need to know which one to use!! i restored my laptop next to my desktop restore disk!! and i was jubilant to see it worked, but know i need the product switch to activate it!! but i already enter the one from my desktop and the one on my laptop, but none of them worked!! so what would it be??

Answer:

Call Microsoft and lie that you lost the product switch.

They do this "product key" crap to make sure you don't do exactly what you newly did--install the operating system on another computer. I don't hate them, but I suppose they want you to pay another 200 dollars to pay packet for ANOTHER copy of Windows.
You will need to ring Microsoft activation center: http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/resou...
give microsoft a ring. they are pious at that. there's even a free number!!!
The product Key is a 20 characters long code.

You must find it on a label on your elderly desktop computer or on the restore disk ( CD ).

Sample: Windows HP Professional ...

Product push button: QYYKB - BBJ8P - BFKYX - P3MN6

P.S. The typing is not case sensitive so you don't call for to push the shift button. Good luck.
