Throw up your hand. There is probably no way you can achieve this work back, which is why making a way of saving regularly is remarkably important.
plug surrounded by the charger to the laptop and continue.
Hibernate, and briskly. That will 'write' all of your alive processes to the hard drive.
Plug contained by the AC and recharge the battery.
your laptop give you a warning when it's running low on power

If possible, set your program to save every five minutes or so similar to Microsoft Word. If it is a Windows laptop, change the power option to warn you when the battery-operated reaches around 15% but not shut down until 10% or so. If it is a Mac, here should similar options.
reclaim alot when ur battery is low and agree to it warn you. Also sometimes even if you don't store, word can recover a document for you. Wouldn't depend on it though
