Windows or Mac? Why? What are the virtuous and bad things around both?

Some people swear they wouldn't own anything bar windows and one and the same goes for mac users. If your using this for as a home laptop, windows is the path to go. Xp does not crash approaching previous versions. Vista a moment ago came out, so i can't really comment on it.
It will be harder to find software for mac, as most companies program on the window os. Windows has only dominated the market.
mac is prefered for bulky graphic user such as designers. it is more stable and seldom crashes but it is controlled to the softwares you can install. windows are more on spreadsheets and processing... you can install almost anything contained by windows but other crashes if there are conflicts.
Mac does not allow you to install respectively and every thing on your PC because of its securities, even so it is a great platform for users who are working over graphical packages.
Windows is easy to operate and you can almost install any type of software on it, but the probability of crashing the system also increases.
